Professional and/or community service achievements: Having established World Trade Centers in Afghanistan and Okinawa, John Dickson currently serves as the founding chairman of the World Trade Centers Association s Committee on Peace and Stability through Trade. He initiated the WTCA s Forum on Globalization and Cultural Identity in 1999, which has developed into a series of conferences held throughout the world. In October 2007 he negotiated the licensing of a World Trade Center in Shenyang, China that will support the future World Trade Center Pyongyang.
John has recently served as advisor or board member to the Wholistic Peace Institute, Service for Peace Northwest, Oregon Multicultural Education Association, the Immigrant and Refugee Consortium of Oregon and Washington, the Native American Leadership Alliance, Native American Communications, and the Universal Peace Federation.

Professional and/or community service achievements: Currently I am with China Foundation as Vice President of Strategy. China Foundation is a US based foundation focused on health and education.
Prior to China Foundation, I was with Lockheed Martin as International Business Development Manager in charge of Asia and South America. Worked with the Mainland China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Argentina.
Prior to Lockheed Martin, I was with IBM Poughkeepsie, New York as Project Manager and System Architect.

The Honorable Matthew J. Salmon

Achievements: Congressman Salmon has over twenty years experience in both the public and private sector. He has emphasized managing relations at all levels of government and in the process has garnered significant media relations experience. Salmon began his career in public service as an Arizona State Senator, a position in which he served from 1991 to 1995. While in the Senate, he served as the Assistant Majority Leader and chaired the Rules Committee. From 1995 to 2001, Salmon was the U.S. Congressman from Arizona, serving on the International Relations, Education, Small Business, and Science Committees. He also served for six years on the Helsinki Commission and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) where he developed myriad and key relationships with parliamentary members from OSCE. He was an active and influential member of both those organizations. While in Congress, he led several U.S. Congressional delegations to China to improve trade relations and bilateral relationships. He was the only Member of the U.S. Congress in America’s history who speaks Mandarin Chinese. This expertise served him well as one of the leading advocates of a positive U.S. and China relationship. He was instrumental in bringing Yao Ming to pay in the NBA.
Dr. He received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 1995, and M.S. in Environmental Monitoring in 1988 in the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his B.S. in Surveying and Land Management, Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping, China in 1982.
Professional and/or community service achievements:
Dr. Ping He is the founding president of the International Fund for China s Environment (IFCE). He has coordinated IFCE s activities in public relation, fundraising and project development since 1996. He has developed cooperative relationship with international environmental and conservation organizations and programs, US and Chinese governmental agencies, NGOs and the private sector. He developed numerous projects in environmental NGO support, technological exchanges, policy advising and public education in China.
In 2002, Dr, He helped to organize three Caucus meetings for Chinese NGOs at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa. He launched the bi-annual NGO Forums on International Environmental Cooperation in China in 1999 and chaired the five forums since then. The Forum has become a major platform for Chinese NGOs for capacity building training, for information exchange and for developing partnerships with international NGOs and agencies. He also chaired the international conference on China Environmental Reform and Strategic Alliance in Beijing in 2000 and New Environmental Technology International Conference 2001 in Hangzhou, China. He led a number of environmental technical and business delegations to visit China since 1999, including delegations on renewable energy in 2005 and 2006. He periodically provides advises and suggestions reports to Chinese governments regarding the environmental management and policy. In 2003, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, invited him as the first Chinese alumni, to deliver a lecture on biodiversity conservation in western China. In 2007, as one of five representatives in US, he was invited to attend the annual meeting of Chinese People s Political Consultative Conference, the highest advising body to Chinese government. He accepted interviews from a dozen of international media, including China Central TV, Phoenix TV, Voice of America, Free Asia Radio and Geo Magazine of France, Time Magazine, etc. on environmental and conservation issues in China since 2000. He is very familiar to international environmental treaties and protocols, along with procedures and requirements of international aids in environment and conservation.
He was a senior consultant of Engineering Systems from 1994 to 1997. He served as Land Management Director for Wisconsin Winnebago Business Committee from 1991-1994. He is a Chinese citizen and a permanent resident of USA.

He is the executive director of the Global Business Council of the Global Peace Foundation, an international NGO that promotes peace throughout the world. He has directed many major international programs to promote peace and economic development in more than 20 countries of four continents. He used to work at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group as a foreign direct investment consultant. He was the secretary general, chief financial officer and vice president of the Youth Federation for World Peace International. As a business management consultant, he worked for the Booz Allen Hamilton, Bearing Point, Georgetown University Hospital, etc..
He has served as a volunteer for a number of other non-profit organizations, such as, the Union of Chinese American Professional Organizations (vice president, Secretary General and standing board member), Peking University Alumni Association - DC (president 2008-2010 and current honorary president), Consolidated Society of Chinese University Alumni Associations at Greater Washington Area (vice president, 2008-2010), Chinese Association for Science & Technology - DC (board Member and former vice president), DC Hunan Association (board member and vice president), Service for Peace (former board member and vice board chair), etc..
He is a founding board member and the founding president of the China Society.

Professional and/or community service achievements: Michael Marshall joined United Press International (UPI) in 2003 as editor-in-chief, responsible for the service s worldwide editorial operations. He has also served on the board of UPI since 1999.
From 1986 to 2003 he was executive editor of The World &I, a monthly magazine, He helped shape the international, interdisciplinary, and educational character of the magazine, which in addition to its analysis of current affairs, covered developments in science, the arts, literature, scholarship, and public policy.
He was also executive director of the World Media Association from 1998 to 2005, an international organization that provides a forum for media professionals and observers to explore issues related to media responsibility and ethics.
Marshall hails originally from England where, in the 1970s, he edited The London Rising Tide, a bi-weekly publication of social and political commentary, and the New Tomorrow, a monthly general interest magazine.
